Program of Study

As a Media Innovation student, you’ll dive into the forefront of journalism, multimedia production, and media communication. This degree emphasizes both understanding communication theory and honing practical skills across various media platforms, highlighting emerging trends and innovations in the field. You’ll become proficient with professional-level editing and production technologies, enhancing your digital media skillset for conceptualizing, producing, and editing diverse media content. Additionally, you’ll gain a thorough understanding of the legal requirements and ethical considerations in journalism and media production.

Graduates with this degree will be well-prepared to pursue exciting careers in digital media, journalism, multimedia/video production, and communication across diverse global markets.

Courses

All WSU undergraduates must complete a minimum of 120 semester credits of which 40 credits must be at the 300 – 400 level to earn a BA in Journalism and Media Production. At least 30 credits must be from WSU.
